Located on the same lever as the dungeons is the Potion classroom. This room is known for being one of the coldest and darkest rooms in the whole castle. It would be wise to dress warm when attending class in the winter, since it is a well known fact that one can see their own breath during those cold months.

Located under the Black Lack is the Slytherin Common Room. The low hanging ceiling and along with the green light cast off by the lamps and the skulls found throughout the room give it a somewhat eerie feeling to those not used to it. There are many green arm chairs for the students to lounge in while doing homework or talking to their friends.

Situated beneath the Great Hall, the kitchens of Hogwarts is always full of house elves running back and fourth while preparing food for the students and staff. A large fire place rest on one side of the room and tends to make the room a little warmer than necessary. The only way to get inside is to tickle the pear in the painting that hangs outside.
