Not that it ever stops him, for he is always set on getting to the bottom of things. He cares for his friends and others that are close to him, so much so that he'd go to any lengths to protect them, whether it be secretively or with a bang. Quidditch is one of his favorite pastimes and thankfully as Captain, he gets to spend quite a lot of time on the Quidditch field. In his mind, there's nothing better than a game of Quidditch to relieve the day's stress. Harry, believe it or not, is awkward when it comes to love. That's not to say his chances to hook up with the opposite sex are slim, they're not, because let's face it: he's the boy who lived, remember? A lot of the witches at Hogwarts, however, want in his pants, perhaps obsessively so. This said, Harry is far from a player. In fact, I think it's safe to say he's a virgin. Unlike most famous witches & wizards, the sixteen year old isn't stuck up about his title in the wizarding world. He is "the boy who lived" but to him, he is simply a wizard just trying to get by and survive. In his mind's eye, he is ordinary, despite being told otherwise. Aside from Ron & Hermione and the other people close to him, no one else knows his modesty, because no one else cared enough to dig deeper. history your family and such PARENTS: James Potter (father) & Lily Potter (mother) SIBLINGS: None PETS: Hedwig (white owl) OVERALL HISTORY: The boy who lived, Harry was born to Lily and James Potter and left by Dumbledore on the steps of the Dursleys after his parents were killed by Lord Voldemort. Eleven years, he stayed under their abusive roof. To them, he wasn't even a son and made him live in the cupboard under the stairs. He often fantasized about a better life, completely unaware that a better life was indeed coming his way. Upon receiving a letter from Hogwarts, the Dursleys did everything in their power to prevent Harry from reading them, Uncle Vernon himself burning each individually in the fireplace, smiling as he did so. When roughly hundreds broke through every orifice of the house, however, they moved to an island cabin in the hopes the madness would stop. And at first, it seemed to be working. But then his birthday came. A half-giant named Hagrid broke into the cabin, scaring the Dursleys out of their skins, while Harry himself remained curious. With him he carried two things: birthday cake and a letter. The letter was the very same one his adoptive family was trying to prevent him from reading. He was a wizard and a famous one at that. It was from that point, his life would change forever. In his first year, he'd gain two best friends: Ron & Hermione, who have to this day been by his side, while at the same time making an enemy of Draco Malfoy and gang. Together, they'd sort out the mystery of the Sorceror's Stone and thwart the comeback of Lord Voldemort. In his second year, the danger grew ever greater. Students were getting petrified, frozen in paralysis by some unknown force. Meanwhile, Harry would confide in a blank, black journal, an object that somehow communicated with him in written word alone and it claimed to be a man named Tom Riddle. Later it would be revealed that Tom Riddle was Lord Voldemort as a student and that a Basilisk (a gigantic snake with piercing, yellow eyes) was what was petrifying the students of Hogwarts. In his third year, Harry Potter himself was the target. A convict named Sirius Black had escaped from the wizarding prison of Azkaban and rumor had it he was after the boy who lived. Apparently, he had betrayed his parents to Lord Voldemort and killed Peter Pettigrew. The only thing that had been found was his finger. But all was not as it seemed. In a final confrontation, it turned out Sirius Black was actually his Godfather and the one that had actually betrayed his parents was the not-so-dead Peter Pettigrew who had been masquerading as Ron's rat Scabbers for years. In a moment of quiet, Sirius offered Harry a place to stay, but such an offer was short-lived. A hoard of Dementors descended upon them and Sirius almost lost his soul, however with the help of Harry's Stag Patronus, he was able to live to breathe another day. (^I completely forgot the dementor portion of book three. I apologize. Is this enough of a summary, though?) In his fourth year, Harry was somehow selected to participate in the Tri-Wizard tournament, a competition in which mistakes often ended up being lethal. His name was put in by an unknown individual, in which our hero later finds out it was by Mad Eye Moody's doppleganger. He must complete a series of tests in order to come out victorious. What he didn't know, however, was that the Dark Lord Voldemort was close to being resurrected and that the last of the tests was actually a trap, which would later result in Cedric Diggory's death. Harry barely escaped with his life, but even so, he hadn't escaped without guilt. He could've done more to protect Cedric. In his fifth year, Hogwarts was being taken over by Dolores Umbridge, the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, if you could even call her that. She was far from qualified to undertake such a profession, if any profession at all aside from being a pain in the arse. In the midst of her reign, she became Headmistress for a short time, putting forth absurd rules and regulations regarding life at the school. Her reign eventually came to an end, but that wasn't the end of Harry's troubles. After being unable to contact his Godfather Sirius, Harry acted out of fear to save him, but it was this fear that killed him. Voldemort and his Death Eaters were waiting for him and his friends, resulting in a duel between good and evil. Sirius was hit by the death curse and soon after, the foes dispersed. From that moment on, the weight of Sirius' death would hang on his shoulders. Part of him blamed himself for acting out prematurely and causing his demise. If it hadn't been for that, Sirius would still be alive. The other half blamed the people who killed him. He might've been wounded then, but that wound has since transformed into vengeance. He would have blood eventually.
