[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 400px; height: 600px; border-left: 10px solid #9E3C33;] Welcome to MUDBLOODS & MURMURS! NATASCHA ANNELIESE KNIGHT [/style] [style=font-family:times; font-size:10; letter-spacing: 6px; line-height: 2px color:#9E3C33; text-transform:uppercase; font-style: italic; ] you're a wizard, harry CHARACTER FULL NAME: Natascha Anneliese Knight NICKNAMES: Sascha DATE OF BIRTH: June 7th AGE: 17 GENDER: Female SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Bisexual OCCUPATION: Student BLOODSTATUS: Half-Blood FINANCIAL STATUS: Ex-wealthy YEAR: Seventh HOUSE: Gryffindor WAND: 10 3/4" Aspen w/ Augurey Tail Feather ALLEGIANCE: Emphatically Anti-War CANON: No Tell Us a little about how you look HEIGHT: 5'6" WEIGHT: 130lbs HAIR COLOR: Brown EYE COLOR: Blue DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Sascha could be said to have a penetrating gaze, because her looks are very active and it is clear she perceives the world through her sense of sight the most. FACE CLAIM: Ashley Greene ATTIRE: Typically, she will wear her hair down. She loves long hair and puts effort into styling it. However, it can be a bit of a hassle, and if the occasion really calls for it, she will swoop it up into a clip or hair-tie for functionality. She carries herself upright, with purpose, usually trying to look bigger than she is. With a slender face, almond-shaped eyes, and a little, slightly upturned nose, Natascha has a very feminine face. She could even be said to look vulnerable before spoken to. Her movements are typically graceful and contained, especially when she is observed with her girlfriends. There is a large measure of reserve about her, despite her tendency to speak loudly and act as though she constantly needs to be the center of attention. This is really a big act because she is so self-conscious. The only time she honestly acts carefree is when she is out with the boys, playing footy. Then a whole new wardrobe is revealed; she does away with stiff collars and tight pants, exchanging them for loose shirts and jeans. Her movements are considerably larger and she displays a great deal of bravado. She will go to the same extraordinary lengths to fit in with her boys as she does her girls. Sascha often gets very frustrated with her physicality. Considering she is rather petite, she has a hard time maintaining a lot of muscle, and that can make it hard when she is competing with boys her age (and compete she does). Most of them can just pick her up and throw her over their shoulder if they really want to make her do something. This infuriates her to no end. She knows how feminine she can act/look and detests it about herself. and then a little about yourself LIKES: 1. Talking -- yeah, she's a bit of a chatterbox. What was supposed to be a quick drink turns into an all-night pajama party if someone doesn't stop her. 2. Novelty and Unusual Things -- off the wall stuff amuses her, she can't explain it. It breaks the norms, she supposes. 3. Multi-Tasking -- actually its damn near impossible to keep her from multi-tasking, so it's not so much that she likes it as she's constantly doing it and doesn't dislike it. 4. Green -- tis her favorite color; she loves green things in nature too. 5. Sushi -- She swore up and down she was going to try and transfer to the Japanese school because they didn't serve this at the feast. 6. Singing -- even though she is possibly the worst singer ever. She will sing, sometimes at the top of her lungs, when she is either very comfortable and with other people singing loudly, or if she's roaring drunk. 7. People with a Sense of Humor -- because she loves to laugh… obviously. 8. Playing Games -- whether physical, a board game, 'would you rathers', Natascha gets very competitive and loves having a chance to prove herself. 9. Little Children -- they crack her up. 10. Musty Old Books -- loving to learn a little about everything, they also offer a sense of establishment and comfort. She likes reading because you can leave off whenever you want and pick right back up. 11. Painting Her Nails -- it's a mindless way to pass her time and it helps her focus if she's painting her nails at the same time. And changing the colors all the time pisses off her sister, so that's a plus. 12. Communication -- she is outspoken and openly shares her ideas, so she likes working in groups. 13. Drinking -- she might be slight, but she does her Irish lineage proud with the amount of liquor she can pound before getting merry. DISLIKES: 1. Feeling Tied Down -- she is all about experiencing new things and gets agitated if people try to hold her back. Even if it's for her own good. 2. Learning in School -- it's too structured. 3. Mental Inaction -- though this is rare, because she'll retreat to her imagination if things get too stale. 4. People Set in Their Ways -- she doesn't have the concentration to change how a person thinks, but it still irritates her when people won't see her side of an argument. 5. People Who Don't Know Where They Stand -- though open-minded, Natascha can't stand when people are wishy-washy on their ideals. She believes in knowing who you are and standing up for it. 6. Aging -- her mother was always very vain about her looks and makes constant comments about her girls using face creams to keep them young, and don't they have a spell yet that keeps them looking seventeen forever? Of course, Natascha is seventeen… but she spends too much time in the sun is clearly going to look like a piece of leather by the time she's twenty. 7. Bulky Guys -- there's such a thing as too big. 8. Chewing Gum with Mouth Open -- or people chewing with their mouth open in general. People who harp on about the same thing over and over against without change or advance. Endless Repetition -- she gets agitated and depressed doing the same thing over and over again. 9. Large Buildings & Cities -- they're just ugly and depressing. She feels mentally drained if there's not a lot of vegetation and fresh air. 10. Blood and Injuries -- disgusting things make her squeamish. 11. Criticism -- she does not take critiques well and they will hang heavily on her mind for an unhealthy amount of time. In this vain, her mother's 'opinion' of how she should be is a strong influence on her. 12. Illness -- because she will work herself into the ground, she is very susceptible to getting every bug that comes around. BOGGART: Herself in a wedding dress. ERISED: The image is so freaking cluttered, there's no telling what it is in there that she wants. She wants it all. OVERALL PERSONALITY: -- Neatness: Natascha is not fastidiously clean, and thinks people who are constantly running around cleaning up are too uptight. She likes her space to be lived-in. She will have to go through a full day of cleaning when she does, but even then when things are ‘put away’ it’s not perfect. Just clean. -- Sleeping: Whenever she is bored she has a tendency to fall asleep. She is a bit catlike in this aspect, as she can wake up and is entirely active, but can fall asleep at the drop of a hat. This had gotten her in trouble in the past, because even if a friend is droning on, she can drift off. -- Athletic: Natascha is very athletic, and highly competitive. She picks up on sports quickly and always plays her hardest, especially if she is playing against boys. -- Etiquette: Though every fiber of her being urges her towards the Tomboy inside, her mother diligently brought her up with the same propriety as she had. While Natascha can disregard it all and get down and dirty, she inevitably returns to the protocol that was shoved down her throat as a little girl. -- Energetic: This could be because she sleeps a lot and takes a lot of involuntary naps, but Natascha is the type to wake up and be ready for anything. She’s not terribly obnoxious, but she is very enthusiastic and always looking for next thing to do. -- Romance: Though she does a tremendous amount of flirting, most of her ‘flirting’ is tedious. She has convinced herself so thoroughly that she wants to find a rich guy to marry to take her away and solve all her problems that she has fallen into a whirlwind of flirtation. She has yet to find the guy who genuinely interests her, which has turned into testing every single one of them until she finds the right one. This has led to many wrong impressions, leaving fellows very confused by her mixed signals. Though some of her female peers think she can be a bit of slut, showing little concern for even flirting with a best friend’s guy, she has actually never had a boyfriend. And for good reason. She's leans towards interest in women. Though she has girl friends (who are just friends -- she's never been in a relationship), Natascha feels terribly uncomfortable around them. She feels she has to regulate herself around them, and can get very shy with girls she has just met. This contrasts greatly with males she encounters. -- Adaptability/Versatility: With the girls, she will engage in the trivial gossip and delicate activities, but with the boys she is not afraid to rough house. One of the most drastic differences in these two scenarios, that people have noticed the most, is that her manner of speaking is entirely different. When acting snobbish, her grammar is perfect and her tone aristocratic, but when she is with laid-back people, it all goes to the dogs. Her aggressive accent enhances the cursing and vulgarity that can come out of her mouth, especially when she is trying to be ‘one of the guys’. Still, her voice is pretty light and girly, so it gets high pitched when she's wound up over something. Independent: Because of her conflicting interests, she tends to go her own way and hang out with people at random, whatever currently interests her. -- Generous: She will go out of her way to help a person. She is generous with her time, and when she had it, she was generous with her money. In addition to this, she will spare no chance to compliment a person, and does so often that it can come off as flirtatious. Optimistic: Her general energy lends itself to an optimism about life. Despite her hang-ups about money and her fear of actually achieving what she considers a ‘successful’ marriage, she is positive about everything else. -- Enthusiastic: Part of Natascha’s deception is her constant enthusiasm for everything. Some people think she is fake and in this aspect they are correct. While she works very hard to give off the impression that she does, she finds it exhausting to keep up the charade. -- Courageous: Perhaps the most courageous thing she does is express her views, no matter what demeanor she has. Moody: Unfortunately, the dualism comes at a cost. Her moods can shift quickly when she is not up to acting like the animated girl most know and expect her to be. -- Short-tempered: Because of how people expect her to act and react to things, she can be very short with a person when she is in a bad mood. She has a bad habit of not holding her tongue, and can get frustrated easily, especially in regards to her size. Yeah… she's got a bit of a hang up. -- Self-involved: She does a great deal of thinking about herself and her own desires. It is one of the most honest, and stereotypical stuck-up aspects about her. She does sincerely think that she is above ‘it all’. -- Impatient: A direct result from her self-involvement, Natascha hates waiting on others. Though she will devote loads of time to whatever they need, she detests when they waste that time and take her for granted. -- Impulsive: Strictly restraining some of the things that are ingrained in her very being leads her to give in to many other whims. history your family and such PARENTS: Richard Knight (55; Jack-of-Trades) & Jacqueline Delacroix (57; French Literature Instructor) SIBLINGS: Elaine Rosalei Knight (34; Auror) PETS: Pepper. >.> She has an Eurasian Tawny Owl called Roach… because his face reminds her of a cockroach and because it it causes her sister so much disdain. OVERALL HISTORY: Natascha was born in Edinburgh, Scotland to an aristocratic family; they were very snobbish when it came to money. They were not purebloods, muggles in fact, but they similarly looked down on anyone who was less fortunate and saw their wealth as a sign of superiority. After Jacqueline Delaxroix graduated from École Normale Supérieure de Paris, she took a yearlong holiday around Europe; it was on this trip that she met a young 'wizard', Richard Knight. He was a fairly recent graduate himself, but was a dreamer and out trying to find his course in life. Jacqueline, young and naive, married him and was shortly thereafter pregnant with Elaine. Jacqueline's parents did not approve of the marriage and wanted her back home, but they were delighted with their first granddaughter and Jacqueline was still enchanted by Richard. Natascha and Elaine's parents, however, could not agree on how a girl ought to be raised. Jacqueline pushed etiquette and propriety, while Richard tried to engage his girls in rich heritage. Magic was not a factor in early life, as Richard was born a squib. Never lived their a squib who could not be brought down by this. Though the man has always had strong faults, his disassociation with reality actually aided his peace of mind. It is certainly a singular benefit. As the years dragged on, Richard ended up encabable of following anything through, chasing whatever current dream suited his fancy. He alone was responsible for squandering their mother's inheritance (come to her when Natascha was three) away on some failed business venture, it's hard to pinpoint which, leaving them in frugal circumstance. They were never left out in the street, because her mother started working a steady job, but being raised around rich cousins engrained a desire in Natascha to have money, that she should strive for money. Though Natascha's mother was less strict with her (resulting in a much more tomboyish daughter), the age difference between she and Elaine made her sister more like a strict aunt than deplorable older sister. Natascha suspects that her father wanted a son, or that she was a last attempt to revive a failing marriage. But hey, it's great to be alive, regardless of the reason. Though Richard had told Jacqueline about the wizarding world (which she might have suspected to be made up), the girls were not expected to have any magical abilities. Richard's parents had died in the first wizarding war, and he removed himself from that world to live a life amongst 'equals'. So Elaine's letter may have come as a surprise, but by the time she was done and graduated with school and already an established Auror, Natascha was significantly less of a surprise. Of course, she would have died if she ended up not getting one after her sister, but fate was kinder to her in that respect. Surprisingly, Natascha's parents are still married. Her dad is still as enthusiastic about new ideas as ever, and her mother is quietly reserved… an elegant outer shell of what she remembered of the woman still fighting to anchor her husband in Natascha's youth. Needless-to-say, she doesn't think much of her dad and she has a hard time relating to her mother. Though she feels like her sister nags her far too much, Natascha feels closest to her because she's the only one who maintains interest in her and Natascha knows she can fall back on. It's one of those things that's nice to have in the background, because she really doesn't feel the immediate need to have family support. She has good friends and has enjoyed her time at Hogwarts. She doesn't excel in school, but she gets by without finding herself in detention or remedial study. She has felt the experience to be pretty awesome, having all your friends readily available (sometimes whether they like it or not), and a wide range of extra curricular activities/courses to take. She has been scolded many a time for not having focused her choices in classes, preferring to dabble in as much as she can and becoming a master of none. The truth is, she hasn't identified that her strongest trait is communication and that it is what she should really try to find a job around. After all, talking is just talking, right? now for the person behind the character ALIAS: Shades AGE: 26 EXPERIENCE: 9 yrs WHERE'D YOU FIND US?: Here… where you are.
